What would it take to ignite your sense of urgency? What is the ‘call to arms’ that could drive you to create greater success? For business leaders it’s time to elevate our level of creative thinking, innovation and (importantly) decisive action.
What is an Executive Lunch?
Apart from, well… having lunch… the purpose of each Executive Lunch is to stimulate thinking for business leaders which they usually would not have time for, or would not be in the right environment to experience.
Executive Lunches are for business owners and senior managers who want to go beyond surviving and truly thrive in these challenging times.
If this is of interest to you then we invite you to join us at an upcoming Executive Lunch. Enjoy an excellent lunch and premium beverages with like-minded business executives.
Our next lunch: 22 September 2017
Topic – Cyber Security:
- What every CEO needs to know about cyber risks
- Cyber security best practice for business
- The New Australian Data Breach Notification Laws and how businesses should prepare for it
About our Guest Practitioner, Tony Barnes:
Tony Barnes is CEO and Managing Partner of Cyber Research ANZ, a full-service cyber security practice helping business and Government manage all aspects of cyber risk. Tony leads the company’s cyber risk management practice and works closely with the company’s global customers to develop security strategies and resilience to cyber-attacks.
Tony has deep experience managing business growth and risk in both public and private companies. He is a former CEO of a London Stock Market listed company recognised in the Deloitte Fast50 index as the 6th fastest growing UK company in 2010, and a former COO of a $1.5Bln revenue ASX-listed company. Tony has a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) and is currently completing his Masters in Information Systems Security (MIS Cyber Security) at Charles Sturt University. He is a 2016 Deans List Winner for outstanding academic achievement.
Should you join us for lunch?
Are you a business owner or senior manager:
- In a business with 5 or more employees
- Who has an interest in the Executive Lunch topic and are prepared to contribute, debate and listen to other people’s points of view, and
- Are open to new ideas and finding ways to stimulate innovative thinking
Yes? Then we’d love to see you at our next Executive Lunch.
Apart from the criteria above attendance is open to everyone… male or female, young or wise, business-to-business or business-to-consumer.
Executive Lunch is a sales free zone.
And… something you need to know (just so you don’t worry about it). There is nothing for sale at Executive Lunches. The topics are not sales spiels in disguise. There is no requirement to buy. There is no pressure to commit to anything – except to your own participation.
It’s all about you.
Executive Lunches are created to help busy business leaders get out of their own ‘space’ and see their world from a different perspective.
Of course at each Executive Lunch you will meet like-minded proactive people who run sizeable businesses. But this is not a typical business networking event. In fact we don’t even expect you to ‘network’. And you aren’t expected to ‘do business’ with the people you meet. But we do hope you like them!
Just come along and be yourself.
Because we run these events as interactive experiences where you share your insights and hear from other experienced business owners, we limit the number of places to about 18 for each Executive Lunch.
We are sincere when we suggest you book early to secure your seat.
What Do You Get?
Every lunch starts at 11.45am for pre-lunch drinks and greetings, and finishes by 2.15pm. It includes a delicious 2-course plated meal (some choice is available), quality beverages and sparkling company!
Each Executive Lunch features a Guest Practitioner and a Facilitator to encourage contribution from all attendees. The Guest Practitioner is someone who has achieved success within the topic being addressed at that lunch and has worthwhile insights to share. They’ll present some information or insights to help “stir the pot” and get discussion moving.
Previous Guest Practitioners have included:

Who is Executive Lunch?
Executive Lunch is an initiative of Pathfinder Advisors and is managed, hosted and facilitated by founders Steve Clark and Stuart Ayling. They have decades of business experience behind them, across large companies and smaller businesses, here in Australia and overseas. Over recent years they have seen clients struggle with multi-faceted challenges brought on by change, technology and shrinking attention spans.
They thought it was time to give business owners an opportunity to be exposed to disruptive thinking and innovation in a relaxed participative environment.
We hope it’s something you might enjoy. Come on in!
